“Here’s to strong women, may we know them, may we be them, and may we raise them.”
We just completed a unit study on Amelia Earhart. Which was a lot of fun for the kids. They learned some new vocabulary, and they learned a little about aviation. If you ask them what they learned about Amelia Earhart they will tell you that she flew across a really big ocean all by herself, and that she was the first woman to do so, and then they will tell you that people told Amelia that women could not do the same things that men can, but she proved them wrong. Because girls are smart, and brave, and strong! I hope they always remember that.
Ps. where else can you where a bathing suit to school?
My girls built this really cute cardboard airplane together. I love when they use team work. So here’s to the girls!
And thank you Amelia
****Ps my kids may or may not think that the reason Amelia disappeared is Doctor Who took her away in the Tardis.. just saying’… it could happen..
